She doesn't care sbout going undefeated, or winning the SEC title. It's all about March Madness and a NCAA championship. She'll have her team ready to contend for the title in 2 months, until then she experiments with players and lineups to find the best combinations on the court.

I think they are overreacting as well. Long season ahead. They can improve and get better.

Texas and USC are the best teams in the nation. If she can't beat them it's like last season, no chance.

Who does she think she is, Skip Bertman?!

UT got all they wanted from OM today. They barely won. ND has started 0-2 in ACC play losing to far worse teams than we have. We had a game where we got owned on the boards, and another where we had 22 turnovers plus horrible officiating. If we beat UGA and can beat UT at home we are right back on track. Even a loss to UT isn’t the end.

Yes, like Skip and Jay
What concerns me is how we are losing.
I’m not sure the players are buying in to what she wants to do.
Maybe losing gets their minds right.

I tend to agree. But I’m tired of seeing teams jack up wide open 3s.

No, we’d just be the only men’s team with a woman as the coach and recruiting will get even worse.

Anything below 28% is literally worse than 28%

What are we going to do? Bring back Nikki Caldwell? LOL, we made the Elite 8 last year.

Call it what you want but that team SUCKS! That is a fact. They are not good at any aspect of Basketball!

There it is.
There are two types of teams for the average fan. The greatest or they suck. No in between

Earlier folks were excited because this looks (looked) like Kim's best roster. As a result the expectations grew greatly. A loss at home to a good team and a road loss to a good team have dampened that exuberance.
It's a classic case of a huge letdown from perhaps unmerited expectations. Mulkey has her philosophy of prepping her team with weak competition and it's worked well for her. Plus, she only had two bonafide contributors in Johnson and Williams who had played a lot together so maybe she needed the weak OOC to mesh the newcomers together. They simply hadn't faced great competition and it shows.
As others have pointed out our inside game is pretty weak thus far. Koval looks slow and not very athletic. Fulwiley is a very good player but she's not carrying a team on her own. Richard isn't quite there yet.
When expectations are high and the results don't come it makes for catastrophe syndrome.

Mulkey has never beaten Staley, N.E.V.E.R.

We have weak arse fans who have to have LSU sports winning just to make it through life. Now reality jack wipes....Kim Mulkey is a legend, Championship coach. Shut the hell up and leave the coaching and development to someone proven over 40 years that she can. I'm 61 and sick of reading some of yall sissy punks posts. Every year isn't a Champion year, some years are development, and Kim has recruited amazingly. We'll be back.

I don't know that she will legit compete for a title this year, but I do agree with you about her main goal. S Bergman was the same way.
You don't win a baseball title by winning a bunch of three game series. You win it by winning an 8 team, double elimination tournament.
Same with basketball. No one game matters. Winning a 64 team tournament is what matters. You have to be prepared for that.

She beat Staley twice while at Baylor. Head to head Staley won 5 games, Mulkey has won 2.

How about winning a game or two? That on her list of things to do?
