CNN documentary on Chevy Chase.
Sort of a puff piece to make you see Chevy in a different light and not just as a colossal a-hole, but seemed pretty well done.

Lol. I saw a clip on Instagram where Chevy told the interviewer in the documentary that she wasn't bright enough to understand him, so went and watched the documentary to get full context.
The interviews with Jay Chandrasekhar cracked me up because he knew Chevy was an a-hole and just terrible to work with, but Jay has a messed up comedic mind to where he loved working with Chevy, too.

I'm skipping because no one from Community interviewed. I wanted to hear all that went down.

It's interesting for sure

From what I understand a lot of his former co-stars declined to be interviewed for various reasons. He's not well-liked amongst his colleagues and I think that's why you will never get the full story of what went down on the set of Community.

I saw the documentary and enjoyed it. But it does not cover up the fact that Chevy was an A-hole and people did not like him. I thought that this was pretty obvious to those who watched it.

I could’ve dreamed this but I thought Joel mchale wrote about it in his book, Thanks for the Money.

Fitting, because everyone hates CNN too.

Just started watching it- he seems like an a-hole. Sounds like he didn’t have much of an upbringing, either. It’s kind of sad really

Sort of a puff piece

He’s 82. Not many people are gonna smear a guy that age.

What supposedly happened?

That would make a cool T-shirt to wear in his neighborhood.

I did hear the N-Word was thrown around once or twice. But there's more than that and no one will say anything. Community is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Documentaries like this are trash. The person that the film is about usually has a lot of control over what's said/shown so it paints them as a good figure. It's not a real documentary.
Same goes for that HBO documentary on Oscar de la Hoya a while back.

Looks like you didn't watch this. They left "outtakes" in that he asked to take out after he said the outlandish stuff he said. He even called the narrator/producer a bitch and basically called her stupid

He's been trying to walk back the a-hole image for awhile now. He seemed cool when Norm interviewed him on his show. I don't care anymore. He made some funny movies that I'll probably watch forever.
My friend Kevin lived right before Lake Primary and had a tennis court. He played on it when he was filming Fletch Live's (I'm assuming) . He brought this huge blown up picture to school and they're both sitting in chairs on the back patio with straight faces both holding rackets, no smiles. We thought it was so cool, but I always thought it was weird they looked so serious.

Puff piece as in it was obvious that Chevy Chase was involved with the production.
It still presented him as an a-hole, but I never really knew much about his background or about his personal life with his wife and kids, which was being used to soften his image.
