Clark, an All-American selection at Elon, emerged as a productive and versatile option. As a redshirt freshman last season, he threw for 2,321 yards and 18 touchdowns, while adding 614 rushing yards and 11 scores on the ground.

YouTube Highlights

Not going to lie, his film looks a lot like Sorsby’s. Very similar play

Lane's worked his magic with D2 QBs before. Would be happy with him as a backup

Kinda crazy a kid with an arm like that gets absolutely no FBS attention. Honestly some of it falls on his HS coaches. They should be helping him get looks

Watching highlights I see what Lane sees in this dude. Man he can sling it and has great vision running the ball.

Damn. Kid has wheels. And a strong accurate arm. I also like that he doesn't seem to hesitate with his check downs and also tucking and running.

That kid has a damn cannon.

For one of you above, Elon is FCS, not D2.

I'm all for finding a diamond on the rough. But I'd much prefer looking in the division 1 bin for QBs. I know Lane found Chambliss. But that's more of an anomaly that the norm I believe. We need some proven winners that can come in and start day 1.

Being a coach myself, I take offense to this ignorant arse statement. The overwhelming majority of high school coaches and not just head coaches, market their kids. The portal has killed opportunities for high schoolkids since Covid. Less high school kids are signing and many really good players are being left without opportunities or going to lower levels because of the portal, I’ve seen it first hand dozens & dozens of times.
