The only people who follow international law are Europeans and Canadians, i.e. liberal suckers. No one else follows that. No one who wishes to destroy our way of life respects that.

They gave the Venezuelan opposition a nobel peace prize for being so brave to stand up to Maduro, but were happy to not do anything about Maduro. Trump gets rid of Maduro in 2 hours with minimal causalities and its "muh international law"

The UN exists (as do most of the useless countries making up the governing councils) at the pleasure of the United States.

They have no power here.

Did Maduro break any “international laws”?

I would think, after reading through the indictment, he most certainly has…

Im not worried about Iran atm. The loss of Venezuela gets rid of their ally in the Americas, Venezuela had training camps for their terrorist groups and would give them "fake" (genuine Venezuelan) passports

Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil. All in our backyard and problems. They can either cut ties with Chyna or get fricked. They need to leave BRICS, cut down on migrants, and stop the flow of drugs.

There is no such thing as international law if you can't enforce it. Who is going to enforce it on the USA?

Trump needs to find a way to slap down the NYC commie non-American mayor about his international law whining.

International law is technically a made up fairy tale and only exists at the leisure of the strongest country. The world is essentially just lucky the USA hasn’t gone all “British Empire” on the world since the end of the Cold War.

It’s good to take the high ground but at the end of the day the USA can do whatever it pleases.

I feel for the Cubans and Venezuelans who are here with good intentions. But everyone needs to go back home. Dual loyalties is killer. Both sides of my family have lived on this hallowed ground for centuries now. I shouldnt have to share the vote with some dipshits whose been here 18 years because their parents moved here. I am fine with removing the tyrants from their homelands, but people have got to back to where they came from.

The communist virus does its job everywhere it goes. I still cannot believe Colombia voted in their current president, after having been such a staunch anti-communist country for so long. Maybe Reagan was right to arm the anti-communists.

I am curious as to what people mean (and there are apparently a lot of experts today) by "international law."

If they mean treaties/agreements that we have entered into with other nations that govern behavior (like the Geneva Conventions), then which of these have we broken?

If they mean something else, then what? I could write something and claim that it is international law.

The USA is a sovereign nation and POTUS Trump will make sure the world knows it.

This is a civics lesson in action.

If the UN disagrees then the UN should bring their army and arrest Trump.

Oh, wait… that’s not going to happen. So maybe they should sit down and shut up.

The UN exists only to push the Marxist Globalist agenda. They are anti-liberty and against the foundational principles that made America great.
I can't understand why we are still pretending otherwise.

I think we can all answer that. Go look at the grudging remarks from various European countries; while they all make a point of saying "international law", they also state they felt Maduro was illegitimate.

When you boil it down, we went in and apprehended a guy facing multiple US charges, who was acknowledged by everyone in the world (other than China, Cuba, Russia and Iran) as NOT the legitimate leader of that country.
1) that's legal, as I understand it
2) by holding power illegitimately, MADURO was breaking international law.

So the world can be shocked and act as disapproving, but can't really say anything else.

Looking at Spain's reaction, they saw him as illegitimate, but wanted the legal and peaceful transfer of power. That wasn't happening so they were just going to not do business with them, which does nothing to help the situation.

Thomas Jefferson first did it in the Barbary wars because he was tired of almost half of our govt spending going to pay ransom and tributes to the Barbary states so our merchant ships could trade. It’s why our Navy was established, which Congress did approve the funding for, and the USS Constitution was built along with a couple other ships. Then they went over there and wrecked shop and we no longer had to worry about pirates and ransom payments.

Earliest example of payments and placating not working in regards to foreign policy. Same as with Iran nuclear program and countless other examples. Whether we like it or not, force is the only thing that works in the world. Diplomacy works between western civilizations. When dealing with the uncivilized, the only option is force.
