I'm honestly not even sure what to expect for next year. We've basically got to rebuild the entire offensive depth chart.

We're losing all of our wide receivers from this year (we'll see if Nic Anderson sticks around)

Were losing 3 running backs including our leading rusher of the last 2 seasons.

We're losing at least 2 QBs with Van Buren TBD

We're losing almost the entire 2 deep O-line

We're basically left with 2 note worthy contributors on offense in Green and Berry. Thats a whole lot of starters AND depth to try to find in the portal. Can the staff manage to find all we need? Interested to see how they put it all together.

We'll all get distracted by the big names, but it's the other players that will make or break the team next year. Nobody knew who Trinidad Chambliss or Kewan Lacy were this time last year. I'm sure we won't hit on everyone, but I trust the staff to find some gems.

That’s what happens when you average 15 points in conference play. You burn it down and start over.

Yeah if there's anyone I trust to pilot us to the other side of an offensive rebuild its Kiffin. But there's no denying its a huge rebuild for us. I'm most concerned about finding yhe amount of o-line depth we need. Im just not sure the quantity and quality we need is going to be there.

I think we hold on to some of the guys we have in the end.

WR and RB are a dime a dozen though, we can find enough guys there.

I would like to see us keep our better OL and get the best tackle out of the portal.

We're getting half of the OM starters after the next game.

It seems like ideally, rather than trying to rebuild the entirety from the portal the best route might be

Retain Braelin Moore at Center
Weston Davis at Right Tackle
Convince Curne to come back and move him interior to guard
Go hard after Lance Heard in the portal to fill Left Tackle

Most concerned with Oline and QB. In that order. Other than that we should be ok.

It looks like we will get at least one of the top qb transfers. Which one, we will see.

Chambliss if he gets an extra year. Big if. And we shouldn’t keep that spot open if it takes too long for the ruling.
Sorsby visiting today. Yes his mind is pretty much made up. And his girlfriend goes there and blah blah blah. If you remember, burrow had his mind made up too. And his girlfriend went there too. But he came here. So who knows
We are linked to Sam Leavitt. No visit scheduled that I know of.
We are linked to DJ Lagway. Also no visit that I’ve seen.

Wide receiver. We have Terrell Anderson coming for a visit.
We are expected to pursue Kenny Johnson, Cam Coleman, and Nick Marsh

Running back haven’t seen much. Carter Vargas from UC Davis is visiting.

We are in the running for edge rusher Chaz Coleman, which would be huge. He’s the #2 ranked player in the portal.

I’d say we are on the right track. I can’t wait to see how it all shakes out. I wish we had more fireworks on the first day though

That would be a good strategy.

Yes, we got rid of the entire offensive coaching staff

And we are getting rid of all the players that either were injured or didn’t develop or were not SEC caliber

We’re doing a complete overhaul

Just know this Lane Kiffin built an offense at Ole Miss that gets north of 500 yards per game regardless of competition

LSU scored more than 24 points against a P5 team 1 time this year

I would add DL...particularly DE/Edge to that list. LSU is DESPERATE for someone along the LOS who can rush the passer...or as Eddie Robinson famously said "agile, mobile, and hostile"

Entering the portal doesn’t mean they are all leaving.

We’ll lose some but not all.

The title of the thread is offensive rebuild. That’s all I was talking about.
