Been very spotty in south central Arkansas and in the Delta. Know some big clubs killing specks and a few ducks..

And by ducks, I mean mallards. At least in Arkansas Duck=Mallard.

Ha, I gave up years ago. The only place I know consistently killing ducks is the west coast and snake river. Even OK/Kansas has become front dependent for the most part.

I guess I'll still go in the am. Maybe get me some woodies and one or two mallards.

If I had a place that was convenient to go I would still likely drag my arse out there. Better than laying in bed on TD.

I read Rick Hall’s daily journal on Waterfowlforum.net, his blind seems to limit out almost every day in Cherry Ridge but only the occasional mallard.

Yep.
Across my house, in my house slippers, in the little bayou, twice a week, three wood ducks. I have a long bamboo pole with a nail on the end to reach and get them. Vacuum packed by 7:30.

My son’s college roommate is in town for NYE. His family farms in Lonoke and hunt a lot.

Asked him if they were seeing much he said a neighboring property had a huge flooded field /refuge and it looked like that old pic of Claypool’s reservoir with the number of ducks on it.

A single flock of 5 mallards was seen at our camp yesterday supposedly and youd have a better chance of convincing everyone you saw a rugaroo playing poker with a T Rex.

Got 5 greenheads and a gw drake this morning. Yesterday I had 2, day before 0, day before that 1, then decent hunt, then 2, 1,1,0,…

I’ve hunted OK central and east, TX panhandle and north of Dallas almost daily for last 3 weeks. Having same problem you are, good for 1 good hunt a week. Hoping tomorrow’s different, I got out that spot early today. But I’m not expecting to kill much based on last few weeks.

If it weren't for teal(bote kinds) our place wouldn't be worth it.

Pacific Flyway is now the best IMO. I fly out to Sacramento every year and there has only been one day I didn’t limit out due to fog.

Skunked for the first time in 26 years at my local hole. Saw a decent number, but mostly gadwall and woodies. Few groups of mallards just out of range. Didn't hear a shot.

If you would like I will come shoot the grays and woodies for ya? We can talk about our SLI investment!
