They’d do much better back in their own country. Just send them all back. No questions asked, no one goes to jail if every last one of them is sent back home. That includes congress women too.

I don't think Somalians view fraud is being bad, the opposite actually. So after she read it she realized she said something that she doesn't believe, and is actually bad to say in their community.

In Africa corruption, bribery, theft, fraud are culturally acceptable. I read an in depth article on it from a Dutch couple who traveled through central and west Africa.
The businesses there are mostly owned by foreigners because any local citizen who builds a successful business is culturally expected to provide for all friends and family money, goods, services for free. If they refuse, they are seen as greedy and immoral and it is culturally acceptable to rob them, destroy the business, beat him, kill him, etc.
Violence, corruption, and grift are seen as ok and just a way of life. That’s why those nations cannot succeed unless outside forces come in and build their economy. But even then to maintain it requires force and brutality, or they’ll drain you.
Reading that opened my eyes and it made perfect sense why such a large percentage of American blacks are the way they are. There is no changing it. It’s the same here. And even here the intelligent and successful blacks are ostracized by their fellow men. It’s why so many pro athletes go broke, their family drains it all from them expecting to be taken care of.
So it’s no surprise this Somali woman was shocked to learn fraud is wrong. They were never taught that. It’s why certain people in this world are not and never will be compatible with a capitalist, free, and orderly western civilization

We laugh but the truth is there are a large number of people who really don’t think it’s wrong to take money they don’t deserve from the government. Most here takes it as a given that our moral compass is congruent with the vast majority of people as it relates to theft of government largess. It isn’t. They literally think it’s free money to which they are entitled by virtue of having a pulse.

I took it a different way. When she read "fraud is bad" I thought she believed she was acknowledging that there was a shite ton of fraud going on.
