What are you thankful for from the past year?

For myself:
I went through a health scare in 2024 and almost lost my left leg (clogged arteries). Walking caused excruciating pain, before surgery I was in pain just sitting or lying down. Walking is one “cure” to pevent this in the future. Your body build collateral circulation around blockages.
I have walked double the amount in 2025 than 2024 and more than any year since 2019. WFH was not good to me.
I was able to go on two cruises and to Vegas. All of which involved walking about 4-5 miles each day with no pain like I had before. I feel thankful each day to be on my feet.

Thankful that my last shitty job of skullduggery and murderous drudge got rid of me, that the similar lines of work I pursued didn't pan out, that I took a shot in the dark chance someone gave me and that I didn't give up when it was rough starting.
And that I have people in my corner who don't give up on me and don't let me give up on myself.

I was able to leave a toxic work environment for a job that offers better pay, benefits and the ability to WFH

My little baby cousin was basically stillborn. She didn’t breathe for over 12 minutes. The doctors said she would likely die and if she lived, she’d have serious brain damage and would need assistance basically for the rest of her life.
She lived and none of that happened. She’s actually more lucid and responsive than any of her cousins and siblings were at her age.

2025 has been a roller coaster of emotions for me and my family.
My Dad passed away this past April, buy I'm very thankful I was able to take off work and be with him in the hospital the last 3-1/2 weeks he was alive. I spent every day and night with him, only to leave the hospital once a day to go home and shower and grab some snacks. He was our family rock, my confidont and my best friend.
So thankful for all he taught us and did for me, my kids, my siblings and their kids and for the example he lived everyday. Miss you Pops!

A long time family friend appears to be beating cancer.
I finished up and stepped away from my work in a less than desirable environment. Will see what 2026 brings.
Received news that our first grandchild is on the way for 2026.
Overall, some bad mixed in with a lot more good.

I’m thankful God brought me through my fight with ALL, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Was diagnosed December 2024. I was sent to MD Anderson and was told fhey didn’t have much hope for me to survive this. But,God! i’ve been in remission since February of this year and I am doing great. I celebrated Thanksgiving, my anniversary, Christmas, and New Year’s in the hospital.2024 and early 2025. So thankful I got to celebrate those things from home this year including my 57th birthday. God is faithful, and all glory goes to him for bringing me through this journey.!

I am thankful my Sally dog pulled through a terrible situation just these past few days.
She got really sick Sunday late night/early morning... Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, was shitting blood really bad. I thought she was dying. Really scary stuff.
Two days of hospital care pulled her through and she's home today, with another week or so of special diet and meds.
I am very, very, very thankful, grateful, appreciative, etc... that I did not lose my friend.
