I was today years old when I found out Hugh Jackman is playing an impersonator and not Neil Diamond himself.

Had little expectations but really enjoyed it. Kind of like Neil Diamond music it was cheesy at times but enjoyable. Lots of feel good moments and then some really random horrible tragic stuff. Jackman and Hudson were really good. Loved seeing Jim Belushi for the first time in years

I haven't seen the movie, but this is the documentary that inspired the movie.

The documentary looks like a Christopher Guest movie.

Neil Diamond is the greatest singer-songwriter of this or any generation.

People like to dismiss Neil Diamond as a middle of the road type of entertainer, but he is an incredible creative talent. Just think about how many songs of his that everyone knows the lyrics to. It’s more than just “Sweet Caroline.” We’re talking everything from “Forever in Blue Jeans” to “I’m a Believer.”

See… that’s the thing… his songs have that hook. That’s his gift. He can communicate strong emotions with just a few words.

If they didn’t find a way to get Diamonds in the Rough into the movie I don’t wanna see it.
