Mel Gibson's two-part sequel, "The Resurrection of the Christ," ought to be good.

Religious films are increasingly having an audience so I applaud his efforts. The first one was definitely an experience

The new Jesus:

Jaakko Ohtonen is a Finnish actor and voiceover artist. He has been cast in the role of Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One and Part Two.

Misleading tweet - it’s $250MM for both films combined. Assuming they’re full feature length, these become a reasonable budget per film, $125MM/film

The depiction of the apostles sticking their fingers in Jesus’ wounds will inevitably be a popular gif

Filmed in IMAX might have something to do with it? Films aren't cheap to make.

Can’t wait for the inevitable outrage over who will play Jesus, and what race, nationality, and gender expression he should represent.

I hope its better than Flight Risk with Marky Mark and Lady Mary. I just watched that last night and came away feeling very Meh. Didn't know Mel Gibson directed it until the credits.
