I can’t think of any reason to be down there but I’m old. Anyone’s young adult friends family or other going down to Bourdon Street?

New Orleans French Quarter – New Year’s Eve 2025 Summary
• Main Event: New Orleans Eve / Crescent City Countdown at Woldenberg Park Free outdoor concert + Mississippi River fireworks at midnight. Walkable from the French Quarter.
• Daytime Highlight: Sugar Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade (mid-afternoon) Mardi Gras–style parade through the French Quarter (Decatur Street, Jackson Square area).
• French Quarter Atmosphere: Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and Royal Street fill with crowds, street performers, and live music as midnight approaches.
• Nightlife: Numerous ticketed parties, bar crawls, live jazz shows, and club events throughout the Quarter and nearby Frenchmen Street.
• Good to Know: Arrive early, expect heavy crowds and street closures, make dinner or party reservations in advance, and plan transportation ahead of time.

Well considering the attack last year, the planned attack for this year that hopefully was actually thwarted, and the general danger in the French Quarter during big holidays….. it’s going to be a weak NYE for the businesses down there.
I really hope they got everyone involved with that attack plan.

Good buddy is headed down today. If y'all see a mid 50s bald man rolling his dick off in the Quarter, please keep him away from valets - last time, he ended up accidentally driving around valeted cars.

Oh they’ll still make a ton, but a lot of people who would go are gonna avoid it. So really I meant “weaker”

Nope nope nope! We love it on a quiet night, but even before the NYE attack it was too risky to be out there for a big event night.

Of course not. No one wants to be within 200 miles of that cesspool.

No, I’ll just stay in Baton Rouge and get shot. No reason to take my chances somewhere else.

I didn't get to witness it, but apparently he "came to" behind the wheel of a Maxima on Dauphine and realized he had taken a car from a valet lot, and as he returned it, the valets greeted him warmly. He basically volunteered to do their job because he was rolling so hard that he felt the need to be generous.
