On the plus side, Bondi acknowledged the role Nick Shirley played in this. I know she has very rightly been criticized, but the admin. giving Shirley credit for putting his butt on the line is better than a lot of politicians would do.
If we get mid level arrests and prosecutions and this whole thing puts major heat on Walz and fricks up their previously untouchable money-laundering shite, I'm gonna count that as a win -- even if we don't see a bunch of dramatic made for TV perp walks.

I think a lot of times our expectations for elected officials, especially when they’re our side, kind of blur reality. If they actually pushed as hard as they could on justice every time, they’d lose leverage for everything else they’re trying to get done behind the scenes. I’m not saying I like it, but it feels naive to think both sides don’t use bargaining chips whenever they can. They dangle the carrots in front of us and watch us all bitch about it all while they keep doing their same song and dance. At the end of the day, it just feels like a revolving door of self-interest at the top and it rarely lines up with what voters actually need.
