Southern have some big names on the staff. I don’t know how good they’ll be? Hopefully decent

Cool to see him back.

I thought he’d given up on coaching college when he left LSU’s staff a few years back. I believe he said at the time it was a bit too time consuming.

Made $16m in his NFL career. Not a "retire forever" sum after agents and taxes, but definitely a nice amount of money that will give him flexibility on jobs in the industry as he works his way up.

One of the most underrated three star recruits that never gets mentioned with the mathieu’s and Hester’s of the world

Faulk is putting together a pretty impressive coaching staff. Can they coach though?

I have a feeling Marshall Faulk is going to do well there. He's always been a student of the game.

"Human Jukebox University" also needs an OL Coach and some OL's.

I know exactly where to find them.

They all SWAC caliber and ready to immediately move across town.

We might need a Southern staff thread. I don't know how some of these guys are coaching wise, but there's some playing experience there.

Most underrated DL that was loaded on that year with the NC game run. Had a good NFL career too.

Not to be too much of a smart-arse, but Southern has "money people"?

Yes. And the “unconventional” hire was that group of people’s way to flex that muscle. Games are won on field and not by staff obviously; but he’s assembled as good a staff as one could hope.

Marshall Faulk has certainly accumulated some well-known names and NFL experience on his first staff.

I don’t know if it will translate to wins but this incoming staff is head and shoulders above recent Southern staffs.

I fricking love Bennie Logan he and Brockers might have been one of the best DT combos in LSU’s history.
