Men over 50, how often do you intentionally take a nap on the weekends?
Not falling asleep accidentally while watching the tv. I'm talking go get on the couch or in the bed and nap for a period of time.
After taking a 2 hour nap the past 2 Sundays, I found that I've had difficulty falling asleep at bedtime.

Rarely. I know it's going to frick up my sleep so I'll only do it if I'm on vacation and know the wife won't be peppering me with "honey-do's" the next morning.

Never unless I am sick. I also rarely fall asleep watching TV. Sleep has never been my friend. I tried for 30 years to fix it and I completely gave up. It is what it is at this point. Whatever Im getting, which is not much, is working.
Until it doesnt I guess

2 hours isn’t a nap. That’s a lack of sleep at night.
Intentionally or unintentionally, if I’m sitting down on the couch between 3:30 and 5, I’m likely going to knock out a 25-30 minute power nap. It doesn’t happen that often. Maybe a few times a month.
If it’s a later nap, like after 7, I will be up until 11. Besides that, I don’t have issues falling asleep after 10.

I nap damn near every day for 20-30 min. A two hour nap is insanity.

I’m not yet 50 but I’ll nap whenever my body is asking for it. As you get older, listen to your body.

I slept from 4-5ish yesterday and thought I had slipped into a massive depression because of how my body felt when I woke up. You gotta keep those naps to 20-30 min or you’ll scramble hour brain.

As has been stated, I think you have e found the problem. You call 2 hours A “nap”…I call a nap an “extended blink”. Should be 15-30 minutes. I don’t care your age, a nap is your friend.

Not near as bad as a grown man ‘sleeping in’ past daylight. Nieces boyfriend came in for Christmas. Entire family had been up for hours while most men in the house out and about, and this fig comes rolling out crusty face and pjs at 10:00am.
We asked if he wanted to join us for golf one of the days. 9:15 tee time. He said that was too early for him.

45 minutes tops for a nap for me but i nap pretty much every day. No issues falling asleep at night ever. I could never nap for two hours.

Over 50 but also have a rare autoimmune disease that completely messes up everything in regard to my sleep. I rarely ever sleep more than three hours, so every sleep is just a long nap.

nearly daily
I wake up every work day at 4:30 am so my internal clock wakes me up the same on Sat/Sun.
I get up and do a bunch of stuff early then get a nap around 2 pm

I'm narcoleptic... untreated now. I take about two naps a day normally. Still never enough.

I’m 63 and retired. We watch little grandkids a couple of days per week, and if I had a weak night of sleep I’ll nap when they do because those little buggers are exhausting. Usually I’l get 60 to 90 minutes, and it really helps. I probably nap an average of once per week.

Most days. Only around 30 minutes though. Maybe an hour. 2 hours is too long.

Same here, even on my days off I'm up at 3:30.
Last few weekends, I have made a morning hunt then either split and stacked wood or worked on building a shed at the camp.
Killed a deer yesterday morning and processed it before hanging rafters.
Laid down at 2 and up at 4pm.
