My wife and I were 17 when our oldest son was born in 1994. We didn't have shite. Fast food jobs, shitty apartment, couch from Goodwill with no legs on it, no beds just mattress on the floor. Guess what? We worked our arse off and made it work.

True, and I have another theory. “Gentle parenting” is making it so difficult to raise kids that after having one or two they give up. They just can’t face another three years of spending three hours per day trying to beg and reason with a toddler.
