We obviously need to replace Alvin, but with Estime’s emergence, and Neal having looked good.. I could see us putting off taking a RB high until 2027.

Next year we will have
Kamara
Neal
Estime
Kendre

And Neal, Estime and Kendre are on cheap deals

Get Rid of Kamara and Hill.
Keep Miller for 1 one Year.
Then Try to find a Tweener Runner who can take it to the house.

Give Shough a running game will make him better deep into the Season

I think Kamara wants to play at least 1 more year and likely restructures

I don’t think Kendre will be able to stay healthy. I don’t think he will last another year.

I like Estime. But if Jeramyah Love is on the board, he’s hard to pass up.

you need speed at rb bad, no home run hitter, even though estime took that to the house today

Estime and Neal are fine big running backs. I don’t think Kamara has the juice to compliment them anymore.

We still need a playmaker, whether that’s a workhorse J. Love or a change of pace Bush/Sproles type guy.

Draft Robert Henry jr with one of our mid picks for the speed guy and call it a day.

I would love Love but I think Estime and Neal give us the flexibility to get another position of need. Neal gives a lot of pass catching ability out of the back field, and Estime is a more pure runner. I’m fine with moving on from Miller.

Some rookie deal RB’s, 2 starting OL, WR3, and QB means we can afford to beef up the line in FA and get a WR2 in there. Can fill offensive depth in the draft and focus on our deficiencies on defense.

ETA: I actually wouldn’t mind Jadarian Price if he’s available in the second, but think Mel has him as RB2.

We need to remember two things.

1) The Jets and Titans are two of the worst teams in the NFL.
2) Estime and Neal are(were) fresh compared to everyone else who has played 15 games.

The cost to acquire a viable RB is too cheap to roll with AK, Neal, and Estime

I’m in the camp that you should almost never take a RB high. Estame and Neal are showing you why. You get good enough production from mid to late RB picks.
It is just not wise use of resources to use premium picks for non- premier positions.
