In the 1980s high school teachers would smugly tell their students that Americans don’t pay nearly as much taxes as do those in Europe. It wasn’t a source of pride , lower taxes, for these teachers, they generally thought that America has room for improvement and can pay more taxes.

I guess that’s why the powers that be keep us divided. Can you imagine if 150 million people would unite and say we ain’t doing this anymore?

Interesting. I confess I hadn’t really looked at the situation like this before, but I reckon this is why we get force-fed that steady diet of “bread and circuses”…

63% of american's now pay no income tax nobody in this country is paying 50% of their income in taxes, especially not that tatted up freak. he's spent more on those tattoo's than he's paid in taxes.

And that’s a problem for the 37% of us who do pay taxes.

If you cut out this dude's expletives you might have a coherent point. Must be on a roid rage.
That's why you do everything you can to keep money out of the government's hands.
I'm approaching retirement and one of the biggest concerns for me is what will I replace with my daily work. I enjoy what I do, and I have worked for 45 years of my life...but that part is coming to an end.

Yep, and the other half of the country are liberal shitheads. It would be nice if the "Maker" half had more of a say in who runs the country vs. the "taker" idiots who seem to have a louder voice.

Are you even considering sales tax in that?
That’s taxation on top of what’s already been taxed.

and your in the group of 63% of american's that no longer pay income taxes and in the corresponding group of 63% american's that can't cover an unexpected $500 expense!
you should treat yourself to a new tattoo to celebrate!

I suspect you are very close to the bullseye if not right on it.
The more they can keep us riled up and at each other’s throats the less time we all bother to focus on what they are doing.

The happiest retired men i know do the following part time:
Usher at college sporting events
Work in pro shop of country clubs
Mow fairways at local clubs
Work at local hardware stores
Garden like a mother effer
Find something that pays you to enjoy one of your hobbies, or just gives you good discounts. Kills time, keeps you sharp, and doesn't feel like work.

Income tax, property tax, local tax, insurance (which is basically a tax), bullshite hidden tax (inspection stickers, license fees, etc.)
A person could easily be spending 50% of their income on taxes
