Baker overrated?

I am tired of lsu fans giving baker every excuse in the book. During the Vandy game ppl were looking for any excuse for the guy. Half of our 6 losses this year were because bakers defense couldn’t stop a cold. I’m tired of the excuses. Who cares if we were playing with a ton of our backups…it’s Houston. Baker has good moments for sure but as a whole seems very average. Not sure why we are all celebrating him getting paid as the best DC like he’s this savior. I’m not seeing what everyone else is…I see an average coordinator who is overpaid and overrated. I see a coach whose defense breaks down on third down and can’t stop a cold against mobile guys

He had the 14th ranked defense this year with an offense that couldn’t stay on the field. Is that good or bad?

His Leader was hurt more than half the year.
Plus this game has about 1/2 the starters from the season.

yeah this defense looks way worse without our best Cb, Best Safety, and 3 starting LBs

Man did you see who we had out there? Not exactly our best guys in the back seven except for Pickett and even he got picked on some - he's still a freshman. And besides McKinley and Guillory we didn't have much out there at DL. But yes please tell Lane to find us a better DC for next year.

There's one. One game, the Texas A&M game, is because of the defense. Even then, they did their job in the first half and then the offense went 3 and out, punt return TD, 3 and out, 3 and out. You can't get infinity stops. Tonight is a defense full of freshman and backups. Pretty easy reason for the defense lacking.

Houston had 0 opt outs. LSU had multiple on defense. Key players that helped LSU D be one of the better defenses in the country. Baker is not over rated. The offense sucked. After the La Tech win, Palmer, Favorite, and Taylor as well as Hanagriff said on post game talk shows that no matter how great the defense is if the offense can't sustain drives and score, the defense will break down. That's what happened.
Oklahoma would have been a win if the offense had any pulse. Defense got an INT and all the way inside the 5 only for MVB to throw an INT on next play.
