Hey look it’s not a perfect hire but if you don’t think he’s an upgrade from Sherrone you’re crazy

Good hire. Always had tough, hard-nosed teams at Utah. Will now have more access to talent, NIL.

They should have hired him the day he stepped down. Great hire IMO

Would be a much better hire that anyone else they have been pursuing. Really good coach.

question is, will Bryce Underwood want to play for him? Of course money changes everything

Talk about walking bass ackwards into an upgrade As incompetent as Michigan’s athletic department’s oversight of Moore and their search have been, it’s hard to believe they may end up with a FAR better coach in the end.

I think this is a smart move coaching wise. They have a mess up there with what they have allowed to go on and tried to cover up. You hire him to stabilize the coaching side. You know at his age this is a short term thing 3-5 years at the most. Then you fire the entire athletic administration, if you really want to clean it up and be the program you tell everyone you are.

We see how Brian Kelly did with NIL and recruiting at his age

The really crazy part is they’re hiring a guy who was available the day Moore was fired. Talk about a shitshow search. He’s a good coach and will stabilize their program for a few years but man that AD makes Joe Dean look awesome.

Damn good coach and obviously an upgrade from the one they fired.

If you can get 7 or so years out of him you're good

Why did he leave Utah?

They made a large deal with Private Equity and he was not a fan of that. That is only a rumor, but he quit within a few days of them announcing the PE deal and then immediately said he wasn't retiring

Michigan is one of the schools leading the charge opposing PE in CFB

He should hire former Michigan state coach Jonathan Smith as offensive coordinator

Solid, if true. Seems like UM is focusing on cleaning up the optics by looking at KW. He would be a good fit and has no baggage and drama

It’s crazy how bad the Penn State and Michigan hires could have been and they ended up with two of the best hires of the off-season

Both looked like disasters and they fell arse backwards into tough, hard working good coaches

Why would he want them? He leaves what he thought was a shitshow to join a bigger shitshow?

So what are the DeBoers going to do with that house they recently bought in Ann Arbor?

Big time resources and a boat load of cash would be an early guess
