Im throwing the Cateye Chevy into the Mix.
Anyone with a basic set of sockets can work on them as well. With the plug and play components, affordable parts avaiability and the fact that you still see a lot of these 20+ year old trucks on the reg. on the roads.
Makes it the GOAT of trucks.

I inherited a '03 Avalanche with the 5.3L Vortec and that thing is damn near bulletproof. So any GM from like '99-2012 or so when they stopped putting the Vortec in has to be on the list somewhere.

My dad (RIP) had a 1984 4x4 manual that I learned to drive on. It was still kicking arse 30+ years later.

GMT400 if we’re talking GMs.
I don’t hate the cat eyes like some folks but they aren’t they GOATs.
My personal favorites are the OBS F250s and F350s. Indestructible 7.3 diesel and a solid front axle.
ETA, OP I would absolutely drive the balls off of a cateye Z71 with quadrasteer. Super rare and I like them a lot.

I have an 07.
Sometime around 2010, when I was still going to the dealership for oil changes, I had walked around the lot while waiting for my truck, and spoke to the service manager before leaving.
I told him the 2010s looked good and I was thinking about trading in for a new truck.
He said, “Don’t do that. Your truck is bulletproof.”

lol no.
Solid drivetrain but interior components sucked. Gauges wouldn’t work, console hinges would break. Cheap arse interior
The 90s silverados were the best. 350 vortec, reliable electronics. They were the perfect combo of the well built trucks of the 70s-80s with modern comforts and modern ability to drive 2-300k miles with no issues.

I had a 04 avalanche that was a tank. Beat the shite out of that thing and never any issues. Sold it with 170k miles to a family friend who still drives it to this day. Last I saw it was a couple years ago and it had almost 400k miles and still running good. I think they had to do some suspension work and rebuild the trans at some point but engine still ticking. The GM 5.3 pre AFM is one of the best V8’s ever made.
I nominate the mid to late 90’s chevys though. Great looking and very reliable. I still see a lot of these driving around today and used as work trucks
And the best commercials

2014 Ford Raptor with the 6.2 liter V8 engine is a great truck.
