Hope someone does this with the full movie once it’s on streaming sites

That looks terrible. It’s cinema, not a documentary.

Yea. But I’d still prefer to see armor closer to historical accurate than the modern mess in the trailer

With AI it won’t be long before we have the option of selecting what type of armor we want to see before watching it at home..

It's troubling that you felt this video was better than "slop."

It's not, dude.

It super sucks.

I hope this movie is great and I agree with the Pensive Cowboy comment about the dark color pallettes. Why not the bright colors like the 60s Jason and the Argonauts?

It’s not a mess. It’s cinema (& it looks great).

5 years before we get to better dialogue, timing, accurate voice sounding & to scale objects? I mean, Daenerys dragon was only 1/4 size in that clip.

It’s actually much worse with that “historically accurate” armor

They really did screw up the armor.

It’s troubling that you didn’t realize it was humor

I love how people are bitching about the historical accuracy and anachronisms of the trailer when the story itself is filled with anachronisms. For one…Sparta did not exist at the time of the Trojan Wars yet features prominently in Homer’s epic poem.

100% agree, and I'm amazed by all your upvotes. I guess costume is less important than skin color.

Don’t forget that they fired their armor expert because he hurt Nolan’s feelings.

Can you be historically accurate when your subject is an epic poem passed down through oral tradition that describes fictional supernatural events?

To the mythology and the story. Which would be great

The worst thing about Nolan’s Odyssey hasn’t even been discussed yet. Odysseus convinces the Greeks to throw Hector’s infant son off the walls of Troy. Odysseus raids a city on his way home and kills all the men and enslaves the women. Odysseus kills an unarmed suitor who clings to his knees begging for his life. Odysseus tortures a goatherd who sided with the suitors by slicing off his ears and nose, chopping off his hands and feet, and ripping off his genitals and feeding them to dogs. Odysseus has his son brutally hang twelve of his slave girls who slept with the suitors. I remind you of all this because Nolan’s Odysseus will instead have the same moral values as the 2025 median voter.
