Thanks for all the detailed responses. You can tell how much pride y'all have in your school and state. Might have to take out a loan for all the great food!

Incorrect. Lafayette alone smokes BR. And it’s not close.

New Orleans is world renowned for its food. Lafayette is a close second but that’s purely based on the fact that Cajun food is legit.

I don't know that I can get on board with that, but if you live within the triangle, you definitely know good food. Other places have specific dishes, but i don't know if they match up to an entire cuisine.

Across the board - quantity of restaurants and different types of food, BR is 2nd to NO, IMO.

You MUST not go anywhere in BR except for LSU! Come in for a day and see Tiger Stadium and the campus; maybe eat at Chimes or Mike Andersons, then drive out at night on Interstate 10 East to New Orleans. One day should do it. If you have to have an overnighter, stay at the Lod Cook Hotel on the campus.
