The tweet says it all. Blame the system.

As a novice to NBA draft rights, assuming an international pick, how long are the drafting teams rights to the player? Meaning can he be drafted again and when?

The immediate eligibility mid-season is going to be what breaks the system beyond repair.

The mid-season enrollee thing has been happening in college basketball for almost a decade. It predates NIL and the portal.

He was once traded for Karl-Anthony Towns. He also played 73 games in Spain’s top division (ACB) which is considered the second best league in the world

He was 31st pick. He was one pick away from getting a two year guaranteed contract worth $5M

The only way to stop this is for everyone remaining on Baylor’s schedule to refuse to play them until he is off the team.

My son is a freshman at Baylor and is wicked excited. I didn’t know this was a thing (mid season additions) until this thread.

Apparently he’ll be able to play by January.

I know a few NIL Baylor people and Baylor has a new homegrown AD so it will be interesting to see

I really hope TEXAS Tech win the national championship in football. That’ll make the fans of historic powers really mad and they’ll be crying foul and it’ll be funny to watch.

The NCAA has had some interesting rules around guys getting drafted and still being able to play CBB. At one point you could be drafted and go back to school. Voshon Lenard did that.

I know it’s changed multiple times since then, just saying.

Anyone could do that as long as they never talk to or hired an agent
