I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but in my part of The Free State of Florida the roads are jammed worse than ever with never before traffic jams, no parking spots in the shopping centers, waiting lines at checkouts and at most restaurants and police and ambulances constantly going to all of the traffic wrecks (a Florida tradition). Unlike past Christmas Time.

Maybe it’s an indication of the way the economy is going or maybe people are maxing out their CC’s, but either way money is being spent.

I have never seen anything like it. People are spending money like crazy. Our economy is red-hot, and inflation keeps going down.

Trump has literally saved Christmas.

I just heard from the Gaslight Media propagandists that consumer confidence is horrible.....as Christmas spending is up over 4% when compared to 2024.

Does this mean more goods are being purchased or just that the same or less amount of goods are bought but they just cost more?

Here in Atlanta it is friggin' bonkers. I also noticed something this year that I have not seen in a very long time.... People walking around wearing Santa hats, ugly Christmas sweaters everywhere... cars all decorated with lights and wreaths and reindeer antlers in the windows... almost every house in my neighborhood is over the top with Christmas decorations... Every store, restaurant, etc is just jammed packed with shoppers everywhere

Merry Christmas is back in the USA and it is wonderful to see!

The Gaslight Media propagandists believe Christmas spending is up 4% in 2025 solely because wealthy people are spending more of the money they have unethically accrued.

My wife's amazon shopping alone would be enough to float a small sub saharan countrys GDP.

About to lose my mind over here.

We spent a very healthy amount (cash on 95% of it) and the places we shop at have been packed. It’s very encouraging if others are doing the same.

I’ve bought more gifts and food for Christmas than I ever have

Picked a good time to haul piles of scrap metal off my farm to the scrap yard for extra cash. Motivation to finally clean that junk up. 2,000 dollars worth of aluminum floats last week alone

My bad. I didn’t realize that you don’t question someone’s misinformation on holidays. Carry on.

It's not misinformation. You Democrats lie. Everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie.

Same here. This was the best year that we’ve ever had. We own a business in a tariff impacted industry. We added a few new clients this year but our regular guys spent more. That’s all that there is to it and we’re pretty well diversified. So while I’m still holding my breath because additional price increases (tariff related) are on the horizon I can’t argue with the results of this year. Something is happening and it feels great. Whether that is optimism taking hold on our clients or if we’re just blessed I don’t know. But the results are 40+% YoY growth. It was staggering and it feels like it came out of nowhere.
