So in other words you didn't know shite and we should ignore anything you say in the future.

The roster still needs a huge overhaul. Hopefully Mickey doesn’t pretend they are ready for the playoffs next year

I’ve been thinking about you and your wise words everyday for two years now. I never thought I’d see you again.

In this division, they are ready for the playoffs next year. They could easily be the best team in the NFC south next year with a slightly healthier roster and just a few new starters. This says more about the division than the Saints, but I absolutely expect playoffs next year.

Nah, he looked it up in Gray’s Sports Almanac from 2000-2050 left by some crazy old uncle who handed it to him.

Or he threw spaghetti at the wall to predict wins and losses.

I think Lester’s point is we don’t need to be overpaying for aging vets in an attempt to go all in. Need another strong draft and some sensible signings like Reid and Chase Young. The only area I’d be fine with overpaying for is interior line. We need a running game to keep Shough upright.

We should celebrate Derek Carr every Easter instead of Jesus because he made the ultimate sacrifice for us to make this possible.

Well this whole "we can make the playoffs because our division sucks" has always been a bad argument. I know LE mentioned the playoffs, but being the least shitty team in the South puts us nowhere near the title tier.

We still have a LOT to do to become a legit (not default) playoff team.

Loomis made this mistake before and it fricked us for 3-4 years. Never again.

See: WAS this year. And they were coming off a conference final appearance and not last place in the worst division in the NFL

I would not overpay even for interior OL help. We have spent enormous capital on this OL and have little to show for it. Instead, make prudent decisions and hope for help via trades and draft picks in R3-7. You can find decent G and C in those rounds. This team’s most dynamic ball carrier this year has been Taysom Hill. Our most dynamic WR is Olave. We are woefully deficient in playmaking. That has to be the priority with the high picks.

Yeah I think if you tried to go and grab a free agent guard you're going to end up paying more than you might think.

The market for guards and interior defensive lineman for whatever reason has gone up recently.

The trouble is though if if you do draft Oline hopefully you knocked that selection out of the park because otherwise we've seen how the development of lineman in recent years has been suspect and I'm not just talking about the Saints.

The market for guards is horrible this year. Most of the good ones are in their mid 30’s.

That can still be done in an offseason. Saints did it in 06, going to the NFC championship game. Washington also went from 4-13 to the NFC championship game last year. It's going to take another strong draft and smart free agent acquisitions, but it's possible

My bad. I was talking about the price tag for the position.

But yeah if the better ones are already older. I don't know if you want to go down that path.
