Is that still a thing?

I haven't been walking in the quarter in years.

Stay to the tourist areas and you'll be fine.
It's when people get drunk and wander off that they become prey.
Stick with the herd, stick with the herd.

Also, the tide turns around 10PM. The young locals who've been drinking and smoking pot all day appear.

I would never step foot in that city. I don't care if "the touristy areas are ok", all you have to do is look at the demographic numbers and that LaToya Cantrell is a two term mayor and it's just not worth it. Ever. For any reason

He can go anywhere, just don't hang out in the hood...

Don't look for trouble, and you won't find any, like any major city.

Most out of towners have no idea where the hood is. That's why I suggest sticking to the tourist areas.

Nothing wrong with New Orleans or unsafe about it if you watch the time. Just do all activities and sightseeing from 6:30am until 8:15am and you will have zero issues.

Do any of you ever go anywhere in Nola other than the quarter/Bourbon Street?
