Venezuela: a Strategic Stronghold for Hezbollah and Iran

By late 2025, the warnings surrounding Venezuela’s transformation from a failing oil state into a regional security threat have moved from classified intelligence briefings to the center of the global stage.
U.S. officials now assert that under Nicolás Maduro, the country has become a primary hub for terror organizations, drug trafficking networks, and hostile foreign powers.
quote:
Margarita Island has emerged as the "center of gravity" for Hezbollah operations in the Western Hemisphere.
Marshall Billingslea, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, testified before the Senate in October 2025 that Hezbollah’s integration into Venezuela began as early as 2001.
Over the last decade, this presence has expanded beyond fundraising into active military training, smuggling, and deep cooperation with violent drug cartels.
quote:
Iran has gained long term logistical access to Caribbean ports and airports, creating a permanent intelligence and military foothold that officials fear will remain even if the Maduro government eventually falls.

They’re sitting on the biggest oil reserves in the world, are located in our sphere of influence and are being used by China and radical Islam as a host to act against our interests, it’s not hard to see where this is headed…

This is one war that has some justification.
I hate war!
I think all liberal clowns on this board should sign up and bring their friends.
But Venezuala has some very deep rooted concerns and logistically in our backyard and reachable by walking on land.
Something the 3rd term for Hussein maximized this!!!
Most of you don’t realize how many “trained terrorist walked across our border” and they have a major plan, with layers upon layers of strategic strike-points on timelines and methodically done.
You can see my post history, I’ve got a ton of 1st hand knowledge on the True Venezuala & the Deep State Israel NWO has used Venezuala to the bones and the poor people and citizens are very good people and have lost their country.
We need to fumigate that place & the island and kick them all out. Then immigrate some of the ladies here for you guys & send some young bucks down there looking to be treated like a King.
They love American Gringos

But what if it is? You really don’t think there are foreign operatives out there who don’t have our best interests at heart? You seriously believe that everything you see online or in the news covers the only reasons Trump is pushing hard on Venezuela?
Don’t you think the United States…with all its advanced defense and intelligence capabilities we don’t even know about, has solid info on what’s really going on behind the scenes?
We only ever hear the surface-level stuff, and that’s all we’ll probably ever get. There are likely deep-cover operations in play that most of us couldn’t even wrap our heads around.
Sometimes… it is our problem.

It’s been that way forever- and there are literally thousands of Cubans in Venezuela for two decades helping run the Venezuelan bureaucracies into the ground. It’s essentially a hot spot for anti American activism in our backyard. Of course the Hamas Bros and the Narco Boat Bros are going to be apoplectic with you for pointing this out.

I long for the day when our government would just be honest with us, instead of laundering CIA narratives through "journalism" and public relations. I'm surprised we haven't seen a story about Maduro stealing incubators and leaving infants on the floor to die.
I would love for Trump to just say, "With its amazing oil reserves, Venezuela is vital to American interests. The time has come for us to install a government that is friendly to the United States."
Most Americans would support such a statement...and we wouldn't have to waste time on fables.

Except their oil is of shite quality that needs a lot of specialized refining just to be somewhat useful. Very sour stuff.
ChiComs maybe were getting 4% of their daily needs from Venezuela at the most. The other 96% was coming via SA and Iraq with Iran throwing in some. ChiComs could live without Venezuelan oil.

Thanks, Kiwi. I didn't know that.
Do you think Maduro being in power in Venezuela is actually a threat to the security of the United States?

That’s your assessment of things ?

Does Maduro have an Air Force or Navy capable of projecting any power?
Does he grow any appreciable amounts of coca?
Our policies in terms of sanctions over the years have helped to contribute to the migrant problem, of that there really is little debate.
The "interfering" in our elections via manipulating voting machines of two companies in key precints in specific regions of just a few states is the stuff of tin foil hats.

While its quality is off it is what the gulf coast refiners are set up to use. As no new refineries have been built in 50 years it doesn’t really matter what quantity it is.
