And the top 4 BCS teams playing for the championship? Or do you rather the DEI inspired 12 team playoff?

I’ll hang up & listen…

BCS was better.
Should have been 4 teams in 2003 and 2004.
Would loved to have seen lsu vs usc...
And what auburn could have done in 04.

Hell, that 2006 LSU team at the end of the year as well.

BCS was better.
I don’t like the 12 team playoff
Don’t get me wrong watching Tulane make the playoffs is really cool considering I used to sit in the dome and watch them get manhandled by UTEP but this years Tulane team was up and down all year. You could make the argument they should have lost 4 games in the regular season.

No, it would have be a complete cluster frick in 2019. I’m glad LSUs greatest season wasn’t over shadowed with angst that we might be left out, media “outrage” for a month if the “most complete team” or worse the reigning champs Clemson were left out. I do miss the 4 team playoff that format was perfect imo. Indiana vs Texas Tech tOSU v UGA.

I’m pretty sure these would be no different than the actual playoff committee

LSU was the fricking 1 seed and beat 7 top 10 teams that year. They weren’t getting left out.

Texas went 5-4 in the big 12.

We counting them as a top 10 win?

In the final rankings yes but we’re 2 before that. Also have you been around LSU fans before? You think there wouldn’t have been angst? ffs there was a guy at the tailgate I was at before the A&M game screaming about Joel Klatt pumping Chase Young for Heisman as if Burrow wasn’t going to win

and beat 7 top 10

That includes Oklahoma and Clemson

I agree I’m just saying over the course of the season there would have been meltdowns from the fanbase worried we might get left out, “the media hates us” “they hate the SEC” “our defense sucks “ look what Ole Miss did” there were people worried our defense wasn’t good enough to win as it was. If you don’t think that angst would have happened among the LSU fanbase under a BCS 2 team format in 2019, bless your heart.

The best game on TV yesterday was Montana vs. Montana State in the FCS semifinal. Massive rivalry game, played in Bozeman in front of a packed house and largely by kids who aren't simply mercenaries chasing an NIL check. I've watched more FCS football this year than my previous 39.

Things that never happened for $1000 Alex.

Are you so dumb that you don't realize the current CFP committee format has been in place since the 4 team playoff started in 2014? The 4-team playoff never used the BCS to determine the teams, though the simulated BCS rankings have almost always (maybe always) been at least the same top 4 teams as the CFP came up with.

I'm fine with 12 teams. Quit crying and watch football or don't.

I mean if you get rid of the DEI teams the competition gets much better.

Ole Miss/Notre Dame and Oregon/Texas

Was it the most “fair” way? No

But the month lead up of bowl games everyone cared about was awesome, and then ending college football before the nfl playoffs started was great

It was truly a fun as hell 20 days of college football

Best setup would be BCS is 1 vs. 2. But with a committee option to expand if to 4 teams if the #2 team is questionable.

It's usually a lot easier to discern who is #2-3 vs #12-13, where at least a half-dozen teams have a claim. .

No…not at all!!!! The BCS/Bowl era was the biggest welfare generation of college football ever. That is not debatable. I’m fine with 12 teams making the post season. Sorry your teams suck and can’t make the playoffs.
