They put SEC teams against each other in early brackets to prevent an All SEC Final.

They know exactly what they are doing with the numbers yet pray no one notices. They are scared to death of an all SEC semi or finals bracket.

This is my shocked face...All while those ND whiners are losing their religion on social media.

They try to do it in baseball too

So Notre Dame lost to Miami and A&M then played an even weaker schedule.

There's an SEC team in nearly every game dumbass. That's what happens when the SEC gets 4 of the 7 at large bids. It's unavoidable. The only thing they should've done differently was flip OSU and UGA for the chance at UGA vs Miami and Carson Beck.
Bama was always gonna have to be in a matchup with another SEC team in the first round. You can't drop them behind JMU and Tulane

Also unavoidable here too. Even more so

They put Alabama and Oklahoma together because neither are championship material and this ensures at least one of them gets to the second round. It hides the truth that we don’t really need a 12 team playoff.

I’m fine with the 12 team as long as the G5 teams a replaced with P5 schools. Tulane and JMU were the playoff version of a participation trophy.

Yeah it's pretty absurd that it went from the top two teams playing each other for the championship to 12 teams. Most years two teams worked. Then most years four teams worked. But to jump to 12 because every once in awhile some team gets left out, straight money grab.
I mean, how many years have we had 12 teams that were legitimately strong enough to win it all? Even 8 is a stretch but I wouldn't even have a problem with it if they simply picked the 12 best teams. We could've had Ole Miss vs Notre Dame and Oregon vs BYU. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the playoffs but if they went with the 12 best team regardless of conference, that would probably be the coolest thing I've seen in sports.

What the frick are you talking about?
Alabama and OU are on one side of the bracket and UGA, Ole Miss and A&M were on the other side.
If Ole Miss or UGA win their side and Bama wins out then it will be an All SEC title.
If A&M won they'd be playing Ohio State with a chance to play UGA or Ole Miss in the semis.
Yall make up the dumbest fricking excuses to be offended
It's a 12 team playoff
SEC- 5
Big 10 - 3
P4 - 2
ACC- 1
Big 12 - 1

You're telling me you would rather hope that writers vote the playoffs right instead of letting them play on the field and decide who's the best team?
Anyone complaining about football playoffs is a pussy
It's the way we settle it in highschool and NFL- on the field.
I much prefer the bigger playoff field where we can settle who's the best team.
What's f*cking gay is ending your season and you just finish where some pussy sports writers think you would.
Expand it to 16 get rid of the automatic p4 bid and put the best 16 in.
But please argue with me that more football is bad and that the champion should be decided on the field.

No thank you
We settle it on the field now.
Hey just one question though - who won the 2003 national championship?

However, because the majority of the AP writers are in L.A. it all of a sudden became “relevant” when their team got left out.

Wrong, child. Five SEC teams in a bracket of 12 cannot avoid each other.
