Borrego is so much better. He is great at the well-timed TO when momentum has shifted. And people move on offense, and he’s not afraid to leave the hot hand in there. Give him the keys next year and let’s roll.

And you can tell the team feels confident in him and are playing their asses off. They were just going through the motions with Willie at the helm.

Jake Madison stressed this very point many weeks ago. Should not have started the season with WG.

Gayle did the same thing with keeping Dennis Allen to start the season for the Saints last year. Both decisions seemed dumb as hell to fans and they/we were proven correct.

anybody who watched the last 3 years should've seen that Willie's rotations and offense were dumb as hell.
I did not expect the turnaround to be this quick but a lot of credit has to go to Queen being a baby-Jokic.

The offense is night and day. Look how easy it’s been for our guys to create baskets under Borrego. These guys had to go through hell every possession for 2 points. BI would have loved Borrego as HC

There’s not a chance in hell Willie could have gotten Zion to buy into coming off the bench and being happy about it.
JB has his finger on the pulse of this team and they are 110% buying in. I bet Murray comes back and loves it also.
BI hated Borrego’s offense and is the main reason why it hasn’t been ran the last 3 seasons. When JB first came in and tried to install his offense BI complained to Willie and Willie scrapped the whole thing. That was the time BI and Willie should have both been gone.

Yeah, one of the key features of Borrego's offense is generating shots at the rim. Since he took over, we are now 4th in the NBA in points in the paint. Borrego would not have been interested in an offense based on feeding Ingram into two dribbles and a fadeaway jumper. Maybe BI would have adapted (impossible to say), but it's not a natural fit.

Is it just a rumor about BI hating Borrego as offense or did he flat out say it? Because I’ve seen post season interviews with BI where he pretty much says Willie’s offense is hell.
