This sentiment has been expressed multiple times on this board. I have concluded it is either a troll or something born of ignorance.
You don’t have to “write the check” to want the athletic department to be as financially healthy as possible. If LSU doesn’t have to pay BK they can spend that money on players, facility upgrades, charitable ventures, or any number of other things that make our athletic department better.
You don’t have to write the check to want this and it doesn’t make you desperate.

I think the only way he takes another job is if a decent program or NFL team makes it very public how much they want him. As awkward (albeit improbable) as that would make things for him I still think he finds a way to stay out of it. And once it’s out there that you’re just coasting by for a fat paycheck that ain’t going away. And yeah it sucks to feel like you got played like that.

It’s Michigan thinking they’re too good to hire a man named Jedd. They’re about to find out where they really stand. I always laugh when these media folks say “yall would be shocked to hear who’s interested in this job…” then they end up hiring choice number 5
