I don’t understand what happened with lack of cameras at Brown

I work at a public school in Metro Atlanta, nice school, nice families, and pretty good kids, we have cameras EVERYWHERE!! You can’t walk around this school, enter this school, or walk in the hallways without being on camera. Then I hear Brown University with billions of dollars in endowment doesn’t have cameras in every building or outside the buildings.
That is crazy! Makes me wonder why!

Crazy! A university didn’t put emphasis on making sure hundreds of cameras were operable and covering every angle. Who would imagine?
Not everything is a conspiracy.

Seems to me that they slow rolled identifying the shooter long enough for someone to lure him to a storage unit in New Hampshire and kill him. The whole thing stinks.

The university where my kids went had cameras everywhere and no school building had doors unlocked. It's just really weird.

Allegation is they compromised their system to protect illegal aliens and/or pro-Palestinian protestors.

How do you know? How do you know the cameras covered every angle? LSU doesn’t have locked doors. Why is it weird?

That is what I heard somewhere - wish I could remember.
There were some complaints filed by students a few years ago about all the security cameras.
Honestly, I do not blame them. People are sick of the security state.
There are plenty of things to criticize Brown over, but for me this is not one of them.

Same with UVU and Charlie's killer.
There are like 1000 cameras all over the place. We can't find better footage?

How about the homeless guy living in the basement who confronted the shooter because he “looked like he didn’t belong there?”
Whole story is fricking weird.

That is going to be their summary of this whole thing.....everything worked out on closing the case.
Yeah, thanks to other people and other outside cameras actually doing shite to solve it.

I know because I talk to my kids, I would go over and visit them, and I asked the security officers at orientation.
When I sent my daughter there, I wanted to make sure that some loon couldn't just walk into a building and do whatever he wanted.

Is that true?
They have had plenty opportunities to deny it. I hope they get sued by the victims. Discovery in that case would awesome.

My point is, Brown had cameras. Some were not working or off. Some spaces may not have been covered. We don’t know the stats on what wasn’t covered.

I agree. Imagine your 18-year-old daughter going to her building to study on a Saturday and then you find out the doors are not locked and there is a homeless guy living in the basement!
I understand people not wanting to be filmed all the time, but I think when it comes to students, from elementary to college, they are targets and the adults need to protect them.

Or the lead investigator who has a nephew that just went down for 22 years for fentanyl trafficking. Both of whom are Columbians.
Makes ya wonder about the rental car from Florida angle.
