Seven men continue to “assist police with inquiries” on Friday morning as new dramatic video emerged of officers intercepting a second car believed to be headed to Bondi Beach.

NSW Police has been working overnight with the men, who travelled from Victoria, with intelligence suggesting “a violent act” was being planned.

At least one of the men detained on Thursday is on an ASIO watch list, police sources told news.com.au.

The man is believed to have been under active investigation for months.

The men share “ideological” links to the Bondi gunmen, police sources confirmed.

It won’t be all of them. But some western country is going to hit powder keg levels of pushback at some point.

I don't understand Australia's push to limit guns even further. How is that gonna stop some terrorist from smuggling it into the country?

There's an Austrian corporal in a Munich bier hall nodding his head...

I don’t get it either Australia was a originally a prisoner colony. You’d think they wouldn’t trust the government

By blaming guns they are diverting attention from the real problem. Guns are tools, nothing more. Also you can't fix a problem if you refuse to identify what the problem is.

It's like the NCAA being so mad at Kentucky that they give Cleveland State another year of probation.

Instead of dealing with Muslim immigrants terrorizing their country, it's easier to strip more freedoms from their law-abiding citizens.

This!

When repeatedly pressed by a reporter this week, the Aussie PM would talk about increasing the scope of "hatespeech" legislation but would very pointedly avoid anything anywhere in the ballpark of associating such speech with mosques or Islam.
