Maybe this will be the year Tom Cruise gets his Oscar.

I never saw The Revenant, but I found Birdman to be REALLY strange.

This clip strikes me as very odd as well, and the music in the trailer does nothing for me. So unless another clip or teaser saves the day, I think I'm gonna pass.

But with that said, mine is only one opinion. If you think you'll like it, see it. Hell, if you like it, see it a few times.

10 minutes of Leo fighting a terribly CGIed Bear

30 minutes of Tom Hardy grunting grumpy shite.

2 hours of nature shots.

Biggest waste of time I’ve ever given a movie.

So, he's going to be some kind of treasure digger type on the beach? But probably also solves some sort of worldwide crisis or prevents a catastrophe, a la some sort of Thomas Pynchon-esque tale??

I don't think it will work, but I hope I'm wrong. Cruise outside of 20 mins in one film, is not good in comedies.

This is good stuff. I look forward to more of your movie insight

Not sure how anyone can determine if that looks good or bad based on that teaser, but the cast looks pretty good.

Not a giant Inarritu fan though so I’ll probably catch it on VOD if ever. Cool to see Cruise doing stuff again that isn’t all out action.

But an October 2026 release date

Wtf, man.

You're right. Should have called it Digga instead.

Agree. I always tell people to read Lord Grizzly (same story but more truthful accounting) instead of watching The Revenant. The trailer looks intriguing but the director's work is not inspiring for my taste. I have never seen Birdman but it seems like a lot of people hated it.

Birdman sucked harder than Celine Dion opening for Metallica.

Tbf this is a pretty accurate review.

Luckily the nature shots and score were so good I still liked it lol.
