recruiting grade: C+
RB coach grade: C-

His time was up and he got offered another chance elsewhere. Happens everyday in the real world . Before NIL era Frank was a Solid A - in recruiting.

Frank failed both times he was a head coach...yet somehow he thought he was in line for the HC at LSU. It blows my mind....then all the BS he has pulled with the recruits then apparently a semi fit for the position that he was offered...just because it wasn't an on the field position.

He’s about as overvalued as any coach can be. If he were white he’d be a tight ends coach at a directional school.

I agree.

Running backs have not developed in the past 3 or 4 years.

His personal contacts in NO are older and don't have the pull they used to have

Frank’s a one dimensional Coach. Up until recently he was the NOLA Whisperer and was thought of as a great RB Coach, when in reality he was neither. NIL recruits from everywhere. Frank’s now Tiger Bait.

This will be an unpopular opinion among some here, but I’m glad he’s gone. He’s a me guy that cares about “his” recruits. Look back over the entire tenure of BK and tell me one RB that has been SEC caliber…I’d wait for your response, but you can’t name one. He’s a poor position coach and has been known (along with Austin Thomas) for causing issues within the Ops building. Personally wish he’d leave now and not taint the talent pool for the next three weeks with his garbage. Bye Felicia, see you in September

This puts it in perspective:

Importance of HS recruiting pre portal -
Extremely important

In 2025 - somewhat important

Franks RB coaching ability is questionable

Lane has already eclipsed Frank by locking down Big Rich and Brown. Last time we got a #1 overall recruit was LF7. Bring in Big Boy at Karr and LSU will take what it wants. We will anyway, but we're entering a dynasty. If you aren't with the program, get throw off the Lane Train.

I'm sure with comments like yours that Frank will be looking to hand out many crow dinners. You are going to see him recruit his arse off to steal every recruit he can from LSU's backyard. He and Juluke at Texas are coming to Louisiana High Schools looking for talent. LSU won't be able to repair all the holes in the fence.

quote:

After National Signing Day, Ed Orgeron fired two of his position coaches. Dameuyune Craig left the program entirely, but Orgeron moved running backs coach Jabbar Juluke to an administrative position. He has since taken the running backs job at Texas Tech.

quote:

One week later, the New Orleans high school coaches are in open revolt, threatening to boycott LSU, whatever that means. New Orleans was Juluke’s recruiting territory, and he is the former head coach at Edna Karr. He has deep ties to New Orleans and the high school coaching community there.

Boycott

FW is more loved than Juluke in NO. Now what do you think those HS coaches will do this time around.

Really likable guy in a new era of college football where his greatest attributes are now negligible. No one is taking 200,000 or even 50,000 less dollars to come to LSU because Frank Wilson was here. And no one is taking less money to go to Ole Miss because Frank Wilson is there. I’m just glad he isn’t at Texas or A&M.

I like Frank personally. He has not done a good enough job evaluating talent. Kids come to the camp and leave without offers that excell elsewhere. Like Shepard from Mandeville. The only vote that counts belongs to Lane Kiffin. Frank was on his staff before but won’t be in 2026. I wish him well but not too well.

Look I hated him leaving, but I’ve been around a long time and it happens. It stings but like a mosquito not a killer wasp.
Look Saban took a lot from Louisiana but we still got everyone we needed minus a few, but that was to the Goat and a dynasty. Frank may get a couple but it’s Ole Miss and pay for play now. Frank did everything he could for J Stewart to reclassify, transfer high schools, and graduate early. What did he do bolted 2000miles away for $700,000 more. Where’s the loyalty to Frank? Les locked down the state plenty of times, recruited pretty good(I know Frank was here) but still- it was under the table money not near as much what players are getting now. You can’t pay them all but any top player in Louisiana that wants to come to LSU will get paid, with or without Frank.
