“Divinity” cinematic trailer-Larian’s upcoming turn based rpg

This looks dark as frick lol. Larian has had a ton of success with the Divinity Original Sin series and Baldurs Gate 3. This newest title is supposed to be much more grander in scope and is said to be a turn based rpg in the divinity universe. Not confirmed whether or not that means it’s Divinity: Original Sin 3.

Until they prove otherwise, Larian will always get my money.

Holy shite, that's... a lot

Where did you see turn based? Larian said they weren't making D:OS3 recently.

In an interviews following the reveal, Vincke stated that the development team will build upon their previous work confirming that Divinity will be a turn-based role-playing game and will be created in a new game engine. The game will offer both single-player and cooperative multiplayer options.[6][7]

It pisses me off that game devs & journalists are already trying to tear this game down.
Man, Larian could have announced a new cozy farming sim and I'd be hyped until they give me a reason not to be. Let Larian cook. Trailer looks badass, too.
I need to play through both of the OG Divinity games. They've been sitting in my Steam library forever.

Awesome. I love their stuff. Glad it isn't an ARPG like the Divinity series started.

Who is exactly?
The only thing I seen is people overreacting to their CEO's comments on AI.

That's largely what I'm talking about, but it's going to get worse. Especially after the success of BGIII and Swen telling the industry how retarded they are,

AI for the earliest stages of concept art. Wah. Cry me a river. Take my money Larian.
I saw some clown screaming about the AI and claiming it was bad for black communities. Jesus. As usual, the grifters always fall back on racism.

That's an understatement!
After their work on the insanely good BG3, they absolutely have my attention on this one.

I also want to give them credit for getting the “cinematic trailer” bit right. Too many devs make trailers that pretend to show gameplay, yet are purely intended to be cinematic. This had zero gameplay, zero dialogue. You know, immediately, that this is intended to convey tone and tease the story a bit, and nothing more. That’s perfect to me.

I care 0% about the AI stuff but in a short time they have really hyped the game up. Claiming it is bigger and more ambitious than BG3 with things never seen before in a RPG.
BG3 was already too big and I don't see how they can have even more branching endings than BG3. There isn't a game out there where your decisions actually make as many changes to the story than BG3.

Rogue Trader would like a word

I still need to get to Rogue Trader. I started an Owlcat playthrough earlier this year and played Kingmaker & WOTR then I had PC issues and never got to Rogue Trader when the issues were solved.

At least the age restriction on the trailer was justified.

Stupid question--is this the same outfit that made Divinity Original Sin 2 or whatever it's called? I realized that the other day in bought that game on sale for 17.49. I've never heard of it and I'm not sure why I bought it, but I did.
Is it worth playing?

Yep. Divinity original sin 1 and 2 and Baldurs Gate 3.
I only played DOS 1 but never finished. I enjoyed it I just had no clue what was going on with the plot. It’s a tactical RPG and was my first foray into the genre. I wasn’t great at it but still made it pretty far. I’ve heard 1 is good but 2 is amazing

Can't stand turned based games or the one with the top down angles, so I guess this will be a pass.
