he subconsciously wants to undermine, as much as possible.
Has this ever happened in college football before? Just pay the man if necessary, and call him a cab to the Grove, but do not allow him on the LSU sideline in Houston. This is bizarre!!!

I guess for the same reason Jon Sumrall is coaching Tulane in the playoff while he is the new Florida head coach.

It's a meaningless bowl game.

That's the playoff though, not a silly bowl game.

Wilson should be suspended until his official hire date at Ole Miss.

Frank should’ve been sent packing after that disgrace of an Arkansas game.

Because they have a contract in place
LSU has to honor it
The coach has to honor it

As long as LSU honors it's end, no buyout will have to be paid

This. Who cares who coaches. Hell LSU should have declined bid.

It’s called integrity.. That man has been coaching and molding those young men week in and week out. Some he has been around for 4+ years! People that have never coached have a hard time understanding that it isn’t easy for them to just say “ok bye” and leave. Exactly why Kiffin wanted to stay and finish the OM season. They can separate the fact that they are leaving in the future from what their job is NOW.. He’s finishing what he started. Again, integrity.

I know many don't want to accept this reality, but the outcome of the game is largely meaningless, and the 2026 LSU roster will look FAR different than the roster that plays in this game. I'm sure there may be some hurt feelings towards the new HC and, perhaps, new LSU administration. But Wilson is a professional and I'm sure he will do right by the players. And to the extent there is some worry he would try to recruit current LSU players to Ole Miss, that was going to happen regardless of if he coaches the bowl game or now.

I'm not all that concerned about the bowl game in general. In fact, if it were canceled tomorrow it wouldn't bother me much other than I'd have to find something else to do during the time slot I would have been watching the game.

Well then if it doesn’t matter for a playoff game then why the frick should it matter for “a silly bowl game”?

Damn, you’re dumb.

Tulane has a historic opportunity for their program and the potential of Sumrall taking their best players is worth the risk, so of course they should let their head coach stay for a potential playoff win.

LSU is playing a bowl game in Houston with a lame duck offensive staff.

Get the stick out of your pussy and grow up.

So LSU OC coaches Ole Piss in Bowl
and Ole Piss RB coach HC's LSU in Bowl

That's one for the ages

I'm continually amazed at the naive lens so many LSU posters/fans view CFB from in 2025

It's 100% a business, and almost every decision made is around the concept of what's best for business, and not based on emotion or feelings

He's employed by LSU through the bowl game, he will coach LSU and do his best until the final whistle. Then he switches hats and will do his best to beat LSU moving forward. Just that simple

Why do we care? If Lane didn't want to allow him to coach he wouldn't. Do you really think Lane would allow him to be around the team if he was purposely negative impacting the program.Yall say in Lane we trust then throw out all these conspiracy theories. To whom this applies , make yall mind up.

A number of things.

End of year team continuity. Frank already knows the team and they know him. The team will be different next year in personnel, play calls, terminology, etc.

It gives Kiffin time to continue setting the program up. Evaluate potential portal targets (that opens 1/2), etc.

Frank’s still under contract. You may not be professional in your work space, but most leaders can do their job up until the last minute and then switch focus to their new job as soon as they start. (You hear stories all the time of coaches recruiting for their former school up until hours before they leave)

Why cut Frank loose now when you still want to play nice with the NOLA schools? You don’t give someone an easy negative recruiting pitch for them to use - like firing the coach last minute. If they let him coach it out then he can’t use that against us that LSU doesn’t care about any of their coaches or players and will cut you loose at a moments notice.

Florida doesnt really care if Tulane still has a good reputation after all this.

Frank Wilson may have pretty harsh feelings towards us at this point
