Much like Orgeron, he was the logical choice as the only coach on staff with HC experience.

No man, the awesome Brad "Sylvester" Davis was the Head Coach in that Texas Bowl four years ago. I still remember him prancing around on the sidelines in that black sweater. I guess he couldn't find a nice Purple or Gold sweater/jacket for the game, huh?

I believe that is technically correct, but Frank is Verge's boy. It would have gone the same way regardless of who was in charge.

Wasn't the same true of Orgeron in 2016? Frank had one winning season as a head coach. O had 1 winning season as an interim.
