This is the Most VIOLENT the Planet Has Been Since I've Been Alive.....

All kinds of violence EVERYWHERE. Random violence, planned violence, micro (individuals) violence, macro (groups) violence. Imo, you can't NOT SEE IT.
I'm not really sure what's causing all this violence, or why it's happening now, although I do think there are some possible factors.
Why do you think this insane surge in all types of violence is taking place right now?

Are we talking about the planet or the human critters living on it?
Because the planet has been way more violent millions of years ago.

Consider yourself lucky then. Over a million people died in the Battle of Stalingrad between 1942-1943 and that was just 1 battle.

Food additives coupled with purposeful agitation via the advent of the fricking internet....Crazy people can be mined as useful idiots and the unstable can find each other and feed off each other's crazy. It's a recipe for instability, violence and disaster

You may want to open a history book….

There are more avenues to hear about every event these days that used to get buried on the back pages of the papers. And everything is scrutinized by the internet experts and categorized into each hated group fairly or not.
The internet is the debil.
The internet is the debil.

It’s unfettered access to media that likely makes you think this way. Be wary of information you consume since it’s one of the safest times to be living right now in the US.
Very few serial killers since technology (surveillance and genetic) have put them out of business. Gun crime will always be high here given gun rights, but murder is declining on balance.

That was a war.
I'm talking about the pervasive violence of all types we are seeing right now.

So wars aren’t violence?
Violence has always occurred whether it be wars or everyday affairs. You just hear about it more because of instant communications and reinforced by the media for use in fear mongering.
You’re experiencing confirmation bias. The modern world is less violent right now than it ever has been.

You must not be very old. Because the entire 20th century was fricking brutal
272 million civilians murdered by governments alone from famine, purges, and genocides. Does not include military deaths. Two world wars, Korean War, Vietnam war. All the violence in Latin America during Escobars drug reign, all the shite in Serbia in the 90s
Civil Rights movement was incredibly violent. Lynchings, murders, civilians and feds shooting at each other on Ole Miss campus

If a place has a newsworthy violent act, it's almost always a person who belongs to one of those groups. Those are facts that are undisputable. Have there been white, Christian acts of violence? Sure, but they are rare in comparison. Hey Yogi....

How many years have places been canceling Christmas markets? NYE celebrations?
What happened to shopping malls most of us got dropped off at on the weekends?
Stuff is worse in some ways. Objectively so.
