Durant is the very easy one out. Toss up between Kobe and Steph for the other one. The rest are very easy safe choices.

Lmfao. Durant is light years a better scorer than Kobe.

Its probably Kobe and Russell. No disrespect to him, just a less developed era than the other eras in the photo.

Russell & KAJ were an era GOATs (top 2 players)
Bird & Magic were another era GOATs (top 2 players)
MJ was an era GOAT (overall)
Shaq & Duncan were era GOATs (at points most dominant center and PF)
LeBron was an era GOAT (overall)

Kobe, Durant, and Curry are the odd men out.

All 3 were elite players, but never considered a "GOAT" caliber player in their era. Curry was an elite shooter, but absolutely atrocious defensively. Durant was a ring chaser, elite scorer but that is about it. Kobe was an elite 2 way player but he's misremembered for his peak years and perfect storm and not his down years.

The thing that elevates Curry in my opinion is the fact he probably ushered in the 3pt era of NBA basketball. He changed the actual game.

The number of people saying Bill Russell reflects the atrocious state of NBA education among fans today. He has a ring on one of his toes because he ran out of fingers for them all, and he was the only common denominator for those 11 championships, including Red who only coached 9 of them.

The league was literally half the size it is now when Russell played. He was also on one of the founding teams of the NBA.
