Dinner in Nola with kids

Wife and I are going to Nola for Christmas in the Oaks Friday and are looking for somewhere to eat around City Park/Lakeview area that is relatively kid friendly. We have a 5 and 1 year old so nothing too fancy. We were thinking maybe Felix's on the lake but I would appreciate any other recommendations! TIA

R&O's would be my choice. Hell, it is most weekends. The menu offers something for everyone. Everything is good. Felix's and Blue Crab are cool locations but man, sometime we get service that take FOR-EVER. I feel like 3 out 4 times we get shitty service at both places.

Our tradition is Katie’s before the Park. Friendly enough for kids, fun enough for adults

Take them to JB’s Fuel Dock. Good views, good pizza. Better in daytime though.
fighting tigers, how is The Backyard? I’ve been meaning to try it with the kids.

The backyard is very good but kinda pricy for hamburgers and fries/tater tots IMO. They had a frozen old fashioned the last time I went that was absolutely phenomenal though and is worth going back for.

It is fine for kids/family type thing. The bourbon selection isn't quite what it was but drinks are still good. Food is the same as ever.
Only other thing I didn’t think of for the OP is that there is a restaurant in City Park at the Children's Museum. Surprisingly good. Brennan's operates the place and does pretty well. Check open/close time.
