That it was not Rattler’s fault. It was the fault of his supporting cast of no good WR’s and his line that the Saints couldn’t win. Slough wouldn’t produce a different result and those who couldn’t see that just didn’t know football.

Same cast, different QB, different results.

Yes, Shough is clearly better. It doesn’t mean Rattler can’t provide value the next 2 years as a very cheap backup. We’re not winning the Super Bowl in the next 2 years, why get rid of Rattler and pay some washed up 40-year-old $6-7 million dollars and hope he never takes a snap?

I think you mistook what most were saying about Rattler. The ones who were crying Ratt>>>Shough are so few that they are insignificant. Otherwise the pro Ratts were simply saying he was showing progress and promise for a while there. His last 2 games showed regression though, and it was time to finally roll with Shough.

Shough was going to be the guy at some point; it was a foregone conclusion. Playing Ratt for so long allowed Moore to see exactly who he has in him and evaluate for future consideration. I think we know he is a good backup to have at a very fair price, and we now see Shough has potential to be the future, despite all the stupid haters that have been melting about the pick since April

Give credit where credit is due. Shough progressing nicely.
This team is 2 different teams from beginning to end. Everything was new coming out of the box early in the year. Receivers could not get open and if so would drop passes. Vele was a non factor. No midget now.
OL is far better now. Better blocking and fewer penalties. This should be expected as a season wears on.
Pinning losing on Rattler and ignoring the other 10 players on the field does not serve justice.
Anyway, Shough is showing nice signs and as a Saints fan I'm glad to finally see the light.
CKM seems to have the right trajectory for this team.

Shough is great and it looks like we May have a legit QB for the long haul.

But Moore is still a bad coach and the talent is lacking. A great example of how bad of a coach Moore is was running a play with 9 seconds with Rattler at QB instead of just kicking. The snap could have went over his head or anything could have happened. He’s supposed to be an offensive mind and his situational play calling is horrible.

Rattler showed improvement from last year and had good composure despite the circumstances. He’s a good option as a backup.

Shough is better by alot but Shough isn't facing the same teams Rattler faced. Rattler has faced almost all playoff teams in his 14 starts. This isn't even debatable. Over 80% of the teams he played against are 10 win teams. And he did it with 2 coaching staffs.

Rattler era

Era? WT actual F? He didn't even start a full season of games 14 Starts....How is that an Era?

By that logic

Since Brees left we have had a

Jameis Winston era (9 Starts)
Andy Dalton era (14 Starts)
Trevor Siemian era (4 Starts)
Taysom Hill era (9 Starts)

Not sure what you are getting at. He didn't have a good cast of WR, He did have a shite O-line. Those things still exist right now.

Literally no one said this. I heard "Not sure if Shough would be better with this team" which is completely reasonable thing to say about a 2nd round QB with an injury history. Quit trying to sweep up drama where there is none.

Enjoy the ride man. Shough is better than most everyone not named Kellen Moore thought. He is 3-3 and it looks like we don't have to reach for a QB at the top of this coming draft. These are all good things who cares what anyone said about Rattler.

And we will be better for it. Not only did he play us into position for a top 10 pick, we were able to identify him as a capable backup, and a possible trade target as a low end starter for a team in desperate need of a cheap QB.

Rattler just doesn't posses that "It" factor. He just never could make the big play when needed or make something happen when the team and offense needed something to happen.

He's a shell of himself. Better off on the sidelines.

Even though the play worked out exactly how it was designed. "Can't run that play; things might go wrong." What a winning attitude that is.

You do realize that by running that time off the clock, Moore forced Carolina into that failed Stanford Band play instead of being able to run a play and get in position for a Hail Mary. If you're gonna criticize play-calling, don't cite plays that worked.

Ehh Shough is clearly better but you guys make shite so binary for message board chest puffing.

The team could’ve gotten better

Moore has obviously gotten more comfortable as a HC.

The schedule is easier.

Can’t you retards just be happy that after sitting and learning for awhile we seem to have a promising QB and promising HC?

Glad you see progress. But I can't imagine you saw the game yesterday saying much better oline and less penalties though.

You hold onto Rattler as a backup, unless someone wants to give you a 3rd round pick or better for him.
