If we draft around 10, would you be opposed to taking a corner

Look ideally I’d like to see a WR or a defensive impact player, hell if we keep winning I could even be persuaded to take Jeremiah Love.

But there’s a scenario where our top WR is gone, Reese and Caleb Downs are gone.

Would you be opposed to taking Mansoor Delane?

I think Koolaid and Riley are good solid corners but not necessarily elite by any means. Alontae does some things really well, but instead of paying him big $ we could let him walk, get a comp pick, and draft Delane and move Riley or Koolaid to nickel.

By taking Delane you have the chance to improve the defensive backfield (which is already pretty good) and use the $$ that would go to Alontae on a guard or WR in free agency

No. Delane is lock down. But it has to be Delane or the best WR available imo

We should be in BPA mode for
D-line, secondary, o-line, and skill position

You don’t let Taylor walk imo. He reminds me of Jenkins. A Saint dog for life. He has not hit his full stride yet. Letting him go stretch will another team might be a regret.

Taylor is a dog. Dialed into his team. I say keep him.

Nope. Delane appears to be CB1 by a very wide margin so it’d be him or bust at CB for me.

Yea BPA man. We need almost everything in addition to having to replace the aging veterans soon. We just have to hit on the early rounders and on hopefully half of the late rounders.

Not opposed to any position, as the Saints needs are many. I hope they can draft in the top 10, but I doubt it at this point with the teams left on the schedule.

IMO, the only thing we don't need in this draft is a QB and a LT. Everything else should be on the table with every pick.

I’m not opposed to any elite players regardless of position.

He still needs to run well to justify a 1st rounder, especially top half of the first. CB is one of those positions where raw athleticism still matters.

We need a elite run stopper DL and a WR stud. The Saints need to hit on all of their draft picks and get OL and RB in free agency.

The defense we are running doesn’t require a CB of that caliber.

We are playing an off man zone most of the time. If anything, we need a pass rusher to make it more effective.

A shut down man corner would not be as valued in this D as it would in say DA’s defenses.

Absolutely not. Why pay more for a guy that’s already at the tail end of his prime rb years.

Delane would be nice. But I'd be thrilled with almost any star caliber player. They need to hit.

We haven't had a first round cornerback in half a decade, and we traded him.

Also who the hell says that a cornerback is not a playmaker?!
