One thing you can say…. Of our past coaches (aside from Coach O)… it was like pulling teeth for them to show personality…..and when they did it was awkward and goofy.

Saban and Miles had personality. Saban's wasn't the most media friendly, but he had it.
Miles was always good for a one liner. In fact, he was more marketable than Saban. Nike and all other brands track how long the cameras are on who, the want their logo to be seen as much as possible. When LSU played Bama under Miles, the cameras would show Miles by almost double the amount of time Saban was shown.
