Language matters though.
The constitution uses the word alien; so the left conditioned us to not use that word anymore.
From there we end up at "immigrant", which all the Marxist politicians now refer to "neighbors".
His post is accurate insomuch as differentiating between legal and illegal. But let's call a spade a spade to stop the bullshite.... an Illegal Alien is not your neighbor. It is a trespasser and a criminal.
They currently ranting about probable cause for detainment. What they are really obscuring the investigative power of law enforcement pre-detainment based on suspicion only in checking the paperwork of because they suspect that person is an Illegal Alien, and thus the suspect, because of the combination of those two words, a crime has indeed been committed by, not a neighbor, but a trespasser.
Police have the power to investigate if they have any reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed. The idea that entering this country illegally is not a crime derives from that obscuring language being used.

Few things:
1) We need to cut or drastically reduce ALL WELFARE across the board for everyone.
2) For the "legal immigrant" category there are specific provisions that allow the government to recover any money received by the immigrant from their sponsor until the immigrant naturalizes or has 40 qualified earning quarters of employment. We should be enforcing those legally binding agreements to recoup the money. I tried to find a source for how often it occurs, but couldn't find a number other than it is very rare.
3) The "illegals" tab is potentially misleading, at least on food and Medicaid, as those are common for the children of those people if the kids are born in the US and are citizens. Again, I think we should be offering drastically less welfare to all citizens, but not sure how you distinguish what citizen gets it and what citizens don't.
