I really just wanted to see how people feel about this.

ETA this morning 12/11

Did digging on the Texas side and Juluke was/is their first choice but he's dragging his feet so here we are. Now with Ole Piss RB coach staying put could Frank return on the field?

If Frank isn’t retained he will be hired by an SEC school just for New Orleans recruiting.

Yes relationships matter

Texas, with Wilson and NIL, will pillage Louisiana relentlessly

Lane better tell Kevin Smith to stay in Oxford and keep Frank.

Texas is already taking elite talent out of Louisiana. Let them have the best New Orleans recruiter and see what happens

This is a problem that needs to be fixed organically.

We can’t keep a coach that has 2 RB’s on the roster, underperforming, no 2026 RB commits, and 2 of his last 5 signees kicked off for legal issues because we can’t find another way to recruit the city an hour away.

As O says, the bagmen walk through the front door now. Wilson isn't a great coach. RB coaches are needed but pure talent outweighs coaching.

You know that’s the big question. I think it helps to have someone like Frank to be in a recruiting role, but I don’t think anybody has been happy with our running back room and rotation.

And we see that apparently he wants it on the field roll, which Texas may be willing to offer as LSU is not

Frank dont you dare be a trater! You claim you bleed P&G?! The you better retire if Kiffin doesnt give you the position you want. Coaching against us would make you a lier!

This makes me wonder if Frank takes it if he tries to get Harlem to go with him

He will be a great recruiting asset somewhere, if not here. That is why Saban had Burton Burns on staff for so many years.

The number 1 player in New Orleans for next year is already committed to Texas without Frank Wilson.

He’s not locking down New Orleans as it is.

As long as Harlem Berry stays. His mom made it seem like they were tied to the hip.

Lane's not flirting with him, so go with the girl who's wants you. Frank going to Texas wouldn't be ideal for LSU. We already have competition from recruiters in California, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas trying to take our top players. With Frank in Texas, it will be challenging to recruit in New Orleans. Nick had Burton, Sam, and Petey working Louisiana; I thought Kitty would have learned from Nick to keep your best recruiters on staff, no matter what. Does anyone know who Kevin Smith brought in at Ole Miss?

I want Harlem to stay. That said if Lacy comes over from OM, will we miss him ? Texas picked up 2 recruits on signing day.

Not ideal, I’d rather him go to Ole Piss than the Steer if he’s leaving
