He's not even trying to ensure the GOP win the midterms. Trump is best thing going for the radical left. He's the reason they continue to exit as a force. If they had to face someone who just turned the screws and silently won on issue after issue they would have folded shop and gone back to drum circles a long time ago. For every MAGA baw he fires up, he motivates 2 democratic socialist to stick to the cause and turns off 3 moderates.

I mean, God bless Trump and I hope he does great things. But he can't initiate his policy, fulfill his campaign promises, and institute his 2016 MAGA agenda. On top of that he hasn't unified the Party and has the GOPe riding the clock out not working with him.
Then he throws out some immigration rhetoric or promises like these as red meat to the low IQ supporters and they upvote it into oblivion because all it took was some dopamine hit from an X post.
Trump's a great marketer. Possibly the greatest ever. But he needs to start getting shite done.

You would dismantle the free stuff with someone like Clinton in 96 or Reagan in 84 etc. Someone who could actually get enough support in Congress to cut some of that spending. Trump tosses red meat to his choir and wonders why he can't get support enough to pass his agenda. He also talks too loudly about what he going to do, often tipping the point to some activist Judge who uses his own dumb comments against him.
If you like pro-wrasslin style of leadership and tact, then Trump is doing a great job. I think he often right about 85% of the time on the issue but comes off badly about 65% of the time selling it.
