We need that one.

If he's healthy, that's a take.

They’re won’t be a better safety to enter the portal.

This would be nice

I just want LSU to get back to developing our HS DBs & WRs.
You still have Cooley and Spears should ready to replace Haulcy as a full time starter.
Whats the point of signing these kids when you're going to keep bringing portal guys to come in and play. They will stay buried on the depth chart.

I’m sure Baker has some idea of how they will work out and if he thinks he needs some help, he will go into the portal.
But you need to realize that not a single member of Ole Miss offense was from Mississippi. So if you are anti-portal, you have some dark days ahead

I love how the agent's info is in the tweet. These are ads and I bet they get compensated for posting them. Why can't they just list them on eBay to make it exciting to watch the bids go up?

Because they are better perhaps?

Yeah this is a guy to go get for sure

Agreed. We have to do a better job of developing the blue chip talent in the state that we do get. While it was great to see Spears play this year, one has to think of the other local safeties that we didn’t develop. I’d love to see Joel Rogers break into the rotation. Wasn’t thrilled to see Kylin Jackson walk out the door (I do get that cultural fit is important). But we can’t expect the Blaine Bradford’s of the world to give a home town discount if they don’t see the guys they know and played against get developed.

Wasn't this guy projected as a 1st rounder after this season? What happened? Did he have a down year or get hurt?

It’s a good point about the portal in general. It’s given fans roster A.D.D. and this tendency to immediately go straight to the portal for every position where we graduate a starter. Lane came here because he can recruit and develop a higher percentage of HS recruits and be less portal dependent.
Regarding safety, I do think we get one from the portal. I think of the younger guys on the roster, Rogers and Jhase Thomas are your highest hopes to step into more prominent roles. Spears and Cooley are starters for next year, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if they gave Cooley a look at star which would open up a safety spot. I think generally speaking I’d be more comfortable with a natural safety at star over a LB body type.

Dude, you have to do both...develop what you have and add talent through the portal.

Want.
That's it, that's all I have to say about that.
