Anybody besides me sorta had it with Stranger Things?

Every episode is the same. The team is frantically trying to fight demagorgons or fight Vecna or find this kid or that kid. I'm sorta done.
I miss the 80's shopping mall scenes.

I'm in the same boat, but perhaps am missing something. I feel like they fight and kill the same thing each season then start the next season all believing its gone only to slowly find out its back again, then kill it...rinse...repeat.
What am I missing?

most were done when they decided to wait three years between seasons
I'm not gonna bail at this point though, I'll see it through to get closure
Kids are all way too old now
Covid and the strike didn't allow for a quicker conclusion
Probably should have just ended it after season 4 but they have to milk it for $

I bailed.
Might finish it at some point, as awesome as it started, it just became tedious.

1 was amazing
4 was good
2 and 3 were mid
First part of 5 is the bottom dweller. The amount of exposition is absurd, many shallow characters are shoehorned in and should have just died earlier in the show (steve, robin), and it so far has completely rendered the end of season 4 pointless.

I'll finish the series. The wife (no pics) and I watch an episode a night after dinner.
While not as good as the first few seasons, I'm interested to see how they finish the story.

at one point they were even talking about doing spinoffs but I guess that never came to fruition

I'm pot committed at this point to just see how this story all ends. The series has had its ups and downs, and the delay really affected it. The general premise was a good idea but I think its just running out of fuel at this point. Hopefully we get a solid ending at the end of all of this.

Volume 1 of Season 5 doesn't give me much hope. But, you never know I guess. Maybe they'll knock it out the park.

I heard on a podcast that duffer brothers avoided killing off some characters because they like the actors as people. If that's the case, I totally believe your supposition too.

I mean I can't imagine watching 38 out of 42 total episodes then giving up. Yea, it's not S1 or S4 good, but It's certainly not give up on the series this far along bad. .

Everyone the parent's age should be dead by now. Hopper, Ms. Byers, everybody. Including the reporter/smuggler guy.
Robin should've gone last season.
Lucas's little sister needs to have left Hawkins. Max should've left when her brother died, or Veccna shoulda killed her.
Will's Brother/Nancy's boyfriend is an undeveloped character. 5 seasons and I can't even think of his damn name.
2 main flaws - They didn't ratchet up the tension when they had the opportunity to. And They missed the point of a coming of age story. The parents don't need to be involved in solving their problems.
