Back then bowl game counted against your 4 games for redshirt. Now it does not.

Homeboy dressed out for that bowl game. Eyeblack and everything. Warmed up on the sideline with a helmet on before kickoff. Then went and sat on the bench while we went out there to get our asses kicked.

When Nuss skipped the bowl game it showed us how much of a loser he was. We should have known that this is how it would go with him as the starting QB. Some people just aren’t winners and it shows

When Daddy Nuss called Coach O and politicked for him to play against Arkansas like a travel ball parent which cost him to waste a game that he wouldn't have played in, and left him with no games remaining to burn the redshirt when we got to bowl season.

I am guessing you mean why wasn't he allowed to play in the bowl while maintaining his Redshirt? Because the rule was not implemented at that time. It is in place now and honestly, should have always been in place. But he didn't play in the bowl game in order to maintain his redshirt.
